NICE consults on new breast cancer quality draft standard

Nice has launched a consultation on its draft quality standard for the treatment of patients with advanced, early and locally advanced breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women in England, and about one in nine women will develop breast cancer at some point in their lives are. All approved comments are reviewed by the independent topic expert group and the standards will be refined in regard to this information. The final quality standard for breast cancer is expected to be published in August 2011.
