Camp companion for June summer camp for children of cancer affected needed

Camp quality heartland, a non-profit organization that offers free camping experiences and activities throughout the year concerned for children of cancer and their siblings is looking for volunteers.

Camp companions are required, to one-on-one work with children aged 4 to 18 years in a camp June 8-12 in Bellevue, Neb..

Each camper is paired with an adult companion and serves as a friend and mentor cheerleader. No health care experience is required, as trained medical staff at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and hospital partner, the Nebraska Medical Center, always on the side.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, run an application, led a confidential interview and references and police background checks pass. Final selection according to voluntary training and is based on the number of the camper who so request. Mandatory training for voluntary April 30 or may 14 in the Omaha area you want to.

Camp quality United States quality heartland, is the 17th year in camp, financed a national, community and volunteer-run organization, the more than 500 children serves. Camp quality Heartland programs is free of charge thanks to donations and support from individuals, companies, organizations and volunteers.
